2008 Supplier of the Year & Platinum Source Preferred Supplier | | Springville, UT - May 8, 2009 | | Kitco Defense Recognized by Northorp Grumman Corporation | At the annual Aerospace Systems Supplier Awards Banquet on May 6, 2009, Northrop Grumman Corporation (NGC) awarded Kitco Defense the 2008 Supplier of the Year award. The ceremony took place at the LAX Hilton in Los Angeles. As one of 11 companies to receive the award, Kitco Defense was recognized for going above and beyond expectations to assist Northrop Grumman with challenging issues, helping Northrop Grumman keep their commitments to their customers.
In receiving this award, Kitco Defense was cited for its commitment to E-2C program success over the past 10 years as the supplier of the E-2C Quick Engine Change kits. In particular, Kitco has been responsive to all changes to program requirements changes, quickly incorporating each requested change while maintaining on-time delivery to mitigate program schedule risk. The award also cited Kitco for unwavering support, consistent communication, and attention to detail.
Chuck Wands, sector vice president, Business Management and chief financial officer for Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems, noted that today’s economic climate demands flawless performance on defense programs. “Our suppliers are our partners in the truest sense of the word,“ Wands noted, “And they share Northrop Grumman’s commitment to value and customer satisfaction.”
In addition to the Supplier of the Year Award, Northrop Grumman also awarded Kitco Defense the Platinum Preferred Supplier award. This is the fourth year Kitco Defense has received this award for shipping quality products on time.
