Wencor™ & Kitco Defense™ Receive SHARP Recognition

SPRINGVILLE, Utah - November 21, 2006 - Wencor™ announced today that it has received SHARP (Safety and Health Achievement Recognition Program) approval from the Utah Occupational Safety and Health Division of the Utah Labor Commission, Utah's equivalent of OSHA. The program's aim is to create safer work environments for all employees throughout the state. Only five firms in the state have fulfilled the requirements needed to receive approval.

"Your company has been working diligently to complete the requirements of the SHARP program and has shown that the firm operates within the guidelines of an exemplary safety and health management system."

The SHARP award represents a joint effort made by management and employees in improving safety and health conditions. SHARP is an extremely in-depth process evaluating site safety and required OSHA programs. The Labor Commission conducts site audits recognizing potential hazards and the immediate reduction of those hazards. Accident and injury records for the establishment are compared with other companies in the same Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) and must be below the National Average. The program's goal is to eliminate the reoccurrence of hazards in the workplace, lower the number of lost work days, reduce worker's compensation premiums, lower employee turnover, increase worker productivity, and improve employee morale.
