What are PDF Files?
Unlike HTML files, PDF (portable document format) files maintain the look and layout of original documents (on screen and in print), regardless of computer platform, browser or printer. For this reason, PDF files are better suited than HTML files for the presentation of certain documents (legal or government documents, for instance). However, to view the PDF files on Wencor's web site, Adobe® Acrobat® Reader version 4.0 is required. See below for information on obtaining the Acrobat Reader. PDF is a development of Adobe Systems, Incorporated. For additional information on PDF, please visit Adobe's web site.

Obtaining the Acrobat Reader (PDF viewer)
You may already have a copy of Acrobat Reader 4.0 on your computer. Left click on jaa.pdf (only 6 kb). If you do have Acrobat Reader, and if Reader is recognized as a plug-in by your browser, Acrobat Reader should launch and jaa.pdf should be displayed.

If you don't have Acrobat Reader 4.0, you can download it free of charge from the Adobe web site (for any computer platform).

To download Acrobat Reader from Adobe's web site, click on the "Get Acrobat Reader" icon below and follow Adobe's instructions.

Downloading, Viewing & Printing PDF Files
Once you have installed Acrobat Reader on your system, it should automatically integrate with your browser as a plug-in (unless you have a browser prior to Netscape 2.0 or Internet Explorer 3.0). Left-clicking on the desired PDF file should launch Acrobat Reader and open the PDF file in the Reader. Once the file is open, you can select "Save As" from the file menu to save a copy of the PDF file to your hard drive (if you want to keep a copy for future reference).

If left-clicking on a PDF link in your browser window doesn't launch Acrobat Reader, you may have to configure your browser to recognize Acrobat Reader as a plug-in. Otherwise, you may have to download the file to your hard drive (or floppy), launch Acrobat Reader, and open the PDF file from within Acrobat Reader. If you are unable to download the PDF file by left-clicking, you may have to download the file by clicking your right mouse button and selecting "save link as" (Netscape) or "save target as" (Internet Explorer) from the resulting menu.

Once you have the file open in your browser window, you can view it using Reader's navigation tools, or you can print it by selecting "Print" from the file menu.

Technical Assistance/Feedback
