Director of IFE Sales - digEcor (Springville, UT)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Proactively and aggressively drives the sales effort for North American IFE, leading the team to achieving and exceeding monthly sales quotas.
- Actively develops, qualifies, and pursues sales opportunities utilizing existing networks and use industry tools and basic research to develop new networks.
- Emphasizes the importance of nurturing a professional relationship with clients.
- Routinely contacts existing customers to discuss their needs, and matches the needs to existing digEcor products and technology for additional revenue opportunities.
- Responds to customer inquiries, RFIs, RFPs and invitations to tender.
- Close sales opportunities based on the value to all parties involved.
- Creates pricing spreadsheets, proposals, presentations, and price quotes as required throughout the sales cycle.
- Develops business value cases for both the customer and digEcor.
- Maintains vigilant focus on daily updates to database.
- Negotiates and executes contracts.
- Attends industry specific conferences, tradeshows, and exhibitions to meet with prospective customers, generate leads, and promote digEcor’s products and services.
- Multitasks via phone, emails, fax, and data entry, and is proficient with Excel.
- Demonstrates willingness to learn to use new data bases to support the sales process.
- Answers customers’ questions about products, prices, availability, etc.
- Maintains customer and competitor profiles.
- Leads cross-selling efforts between IFE and PMA customers within various partnerships.
- Researches products and has fundamental understanding of their technical IFE use.
- Helps with collections as needed.
- Establishes and Maintains good customer relations.
- Obtains competitive information and Intelligence for responsible accounts.
- Understands contracts and pursues both purchasing and development.
- Travels to customers based on customer potential and to effectively maintain customer relationships.
- May require travel up to 50% of time.
- Trains, develops, mentors and leads other sales reps.
- Looks for opportunities to improve sales process and other company processes.
- Possesses “Management” skill sets (i.e. organizes, strategize, works with other regions in joint efforts and projects, supports other sales efforts).
- Leads sales team in developing sales goal, proactive offers, and other key measurements defined by VP of Sales.
Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and eight years related sales and/or In-Flight Entertainment experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience with strong emphasis on the ability to close sales deals using a “win-win” sales approach.
- Must be fluent with MS Office software and other computer applications generally.
- Must be able to travel up to 50% of the time.
- Has solid understanding of the aviation industry, at least 10 years experience.
- Must be a polished presenter, communicator, and work well with others.
- Must be detail-oriented.
- Must be familiar with sales processes and show a demonstrated ability to structure and close sales deals based on value to each party.
- Actively to develop, qualify, and pursues sales opportunities utilizing existing networks and use industry tools and basic research to develop new networks.
- Must be able to negotiate a contractual agreement including prices, delivery, terms and condition.
- Ability to develop business value propositions using digEcor products and services.
- Understand aviation and In-Flight Entertainment (IFE) industry, at least 5 years experience.
- Ability to teach and train others on digEcor processes, products, and services.
